Get Involved

We, at the Bhakti Tree believe in sharing, caring and, creating opportunities for you to do so too. We have thrived due to the involvement of so many people who have given their time, energy and skills, with no expectations in return, to make it the sanctuary it is.

For example, this website wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of Rachael and Robert, who persevered to get it going. Or Maureen, who steps in to make announcements at Friday Fest, if we are too busy. Or one of our well-wishers, who donated to help pay off our mortgage and wants to remain anonymous. Or Gayle and Aniket, who help clear up the dishes after people have eaten and, being health professionals help our sick devotees through diagnosis and medicines without charging for their services. And not to forget our wonderful yoga teachers, who volunteer their time to run our yoga sessions. Some big and some little tasks but a tremendous help for us. You get the idea!

We have a number of activities at the Bhakti Tree and projects at New Gokula Farm that we seek your help on. And how can you help? The choices are many. You can help us by volunteering your skills, knowledge, experience, time, or by donating financially and/ or in kind.

What do you get in return? Well, besides yummy food, you make new friends, learn some new skills, and at the end of the day, a get sense of satisfaction that you helped someone else rather than yourself. Try it out, it is a great feeling.

At the Bhakti Tree, we are always requiring help in the following areas:

   1) Uni Veggie Club serve out.

   2) Kitchen hand.

   3) Table service.

   4) General cleaning.

   5) Catering, chopping, cleaning, pack-up, delivery and serve out etc.

   6) Event coverage – photographs, videos etc.

   7) Developing and printing promotional material.

The list is endless. Have a with us to find out how you can be involved.

Similarly there are many exciting projects at New Gokula farm, where we could do with some help. New Gokula is a WWOOF (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) registered farm. We welcome WWOOFers to bring their skills and energy to the farm in return for free food, accommodation, and learning new skills and knowledge.

Some of the ongoing areas are feeding our friendly animals, fixing cow shelters, fencing, cow barn repair, help with milking (we hand-milk once a day), general cleanliness, painting, working in the veggie gardens, office administration tasks etc.

As a not-for-profit, any profits made by the Bhakti Tree are used in the upkeep of New Gokula Farm and Temple, and the Bhakti Tree.

All donations of $2 or more to the Bhakti Tree are tax deductible.
