Veggie Club
The Bhakti Tree’s pet project is supporting the University of Newcastle’s Vegetarian Club (Veggie Club) by providing the students a hot, hale and hearty meal on a recommended donation basis. Our food is not only popular with the students but even with staff.
The Veggie Club’s connection with the Hare Krishnas goes a long way. The history is somewhat lost but many past students seem to remember it starting around the early 90s. So in some form or the other, our organisation has been providing food on campus for more than 25 years.
During semester times, we are located on Callaghan Campus every Tuesday at the NUSA Building and on Thursday's at the Auchmuty Library Courtyard from 11:30 to 2, or until the food has run out.
